Being a destination elopement photographer is so fun, especially when I get to travel to Palm Springs, CA for a dreamy elopement! Sam and Jason’s elopement was the second time I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Palm Springs for photography, and I love every time I get to come here!

Palm Springs Elopement

Sam and Jason had the most intimate, beautiful elopement day in Palm Springs! During our initial consultation call, they told me how much they love the retro 1950’s aesthetic, which made their Palm Springs Airbnb the perfect place for their elopement getaway! They rented a classic convertible, filled with gorgeous flowers, vintage-styled wedding attire, and the song Earth Angel by The Vogues as their elopement song. They also added Film Photography to their elopement day! As an old soul myself, Sam and Jason’s elopement was such a dream for me to capture!

Palm Springs Courthouse Elopement

Being a Palm Springs elopement photographer means I get to see so much incredible architecture, including the Palm Springs Courthouse! This unique building was the location of Sam and Jason’s wedding ceremony – just the two of them and their officiant. They chose the Palm Springs Courthouse because its retro vibes fit their elopement aesthetic so perfectly! The palm trees growing through the roof were so cool!

Cake, Steak and Cocktails

After their courthouse ceremony, Sam and Jason went back to their Airbnb and enjoyed some time together playing Jenga — which is actually how Jason first proposed to Sam! Then it was time to go outside for some of the most dreamy sunset Wedding Portraits of my life! These are seriously some of my favorite Formals ever!

Then it was time for dinner! Sam and Jason love mixology, so they made some cocktails and Sam got to relax by the pool while Jason made some delicious steaks. Then it was time for cake! This chill evening was heavily inspire by Slim Aarons’ poolside photography, and it was so fun for me to photograph!

Post-Elopement Tattoos

What better way to end your Palm Springs elopement than by getting matching wedding tattoos?

Sam and Jason each got a tattoo of an earth with wings — like their elopement song Earth Angel — to remember their elopement day! This is one of the most fun, unique ways I’ve ever ended an elopement as a photographer, and I loved it!
