"Book her!!!!
My fiancé and I asked Kim to shoot our elopement on the Salt Flats, we were always impressed with her professionalism and willingness to help us with our planning. I am a Salt Lake City photographer, but I love to travel to my couples! This world is so big and beautiful, and I enjoy every chance I get to capture love in new, stunning places! Currently on my wedding photo bucket list: Yosemite, the Redwoods, Oregon coast, and Hawaii!
My favorite thing to photograph is the candid, genuine, joy-filled moments of two people completely lost in each other on the most special day of your lives. My own wedding day was full of this joy, and I love being able to capture that feeling for others.
A PHOTO PRESERVES A MEMORY.
A FILM PHOTO PRESERVES NOSTALGIA.
Film photography is an art form for me - something I have to be extra intentional about, because unlike digital photographs, you only have a limited number of shots you can take.
The filmy grain, contrast and coloring of film photography infuses those photos with an abundance of nostalgia. Those vintage photos give those moments an extra bit of sentimentality.
Being a Salt Lake City Photographer who specializes in 35mm film photography means I get to preserve the nostalgic feelings of your wedding or elopement memories with Utah's beautiful scenery.
"The experience she gave us topped so many other experiences we've had getting photos taken!! Kim makes you feel SO comfortable and was great at directing us in posing, as well as just letting our natural personalities come out...The photos were so joyful"

The big difference is the number of guests attending your ceremony!
Traditional weddings involve guests, and often include a venue, bridal party, reception, etc. This can be local to where you live or a destination.
An elopement involves an intentionally limited number of guests, usually 20 or less (or no guests at all!) and is often in a destination location.

That all depends on the type of experience you would like to have, and what you value most for your wedding day!
If you want to have an adventurous experience, seeing new places and trying new things, with the entire day just about the two of you, consider eloping!
If you want to have a more traditional experience, and you want to have everyone you know and love there to celebrate with you, consider a traditional wedding!

I suggest picking a date depending on the scenery you'd like to have, and any important dates that are meaningful to you!
Time of year and location will affect what your scenery looks like! For example, a Southern California wedding will have different looking seasons than a Yosemite Elopement.
If your date is flexible, reach out and I’ll give you advice based on where you are having your ceremony (or if location is flexible, I’ll give you suggestions based on your preferred date)!

“A photo preserves a moment. A film photo preserves nostalgia.”
Film photography is grainy, lower contrast, and infused with lots of nostalgia!
Technically speaking, film photos are taken on a roll of film, which then needs to be chemically developed and scanned before we ever see what the photo looks like.
Digital photography is able to be seen in camera as soon as the photo is taken, and can be edited in my true-to-life style.
Film is a GORGEOUS way to preserve the nostalgia of your wedding day, and I’d be happy to add it onto your wedding package.

YES! It’s so important to me that you have first hand experience with me behind the camera before the big day! This makes us all super comfortable on the wedding day itself.
That’s why every wedding and elopement package includes an Engagement Session.
