Memorial House, Salt Lake City // Leigh + Gus

Leigh and Gus’s wedding this summer at Memorial House in Salt Lake City was so dreamy! We started the day getting ready with Sarah Michelle Artistry – one of my preferred vendors and favorite hair and makeup artist. While they got ready, I took the couple’s details shots and photos of the venue and tables. The table settings were so pretty!

On the cake table, Leigh and Gus had a sweet photo of each set of grandparents on their own wedding day. These were places with some flowers around the absolutely gorgeous cake from Cuisine Unlimited. We even took some cute messy-flatlay flash photos with the cake during the reception!

Wedding Ceremony at Memorial House

Leigh and Gus’s wedding ceremony took place in Memory Grove just outside of the Memorial House in Salt Lake City. The ceremony was so beautiful, and I absolutely loved the different colored bridesmaid dresses! Because it was a hot summer day, their ceremony included fans with the day’s program printed on them, as well as cute parasols.

After some cute group photos, we took lots of Wedding Portraits of Leigh and Gus. This is one of my favorite times of the day, when they get to be excited about the fact that they are officially married! Make sure you scroll to the bottom to see their gorgeous Film Photos!

It’s Party Time!

The reception at Leigh and Gus’s wedding was so much fun! After dinner (featuring their cute cat on the custom napkins), some sweet speeches, and mingling with guests, DJ JPan brough the party! It’s so important to find an awesome DJ that can fit the vibe of your day and get people on the dance floor.

One of my very favorite things to do during the dance party portion of the reception is light trailing. These photos are so cool, dragging light and color through the photos to really showcase the mood and excitement of the dance party. These kind of flash photos are so fun (scroll to see some examples!).

Leigh and Gus ended the night with a ribbon wand sendoff. They were so cute and so excited to start this chapter of life together as they drove away in their vintage car.

Salt Lake City Wedding Venue

Memorial House is an amazing venue for couples wanting an indoor and outdoor space in downtown Salt Lake City. This venue has so much greenery and gorgeous flowers in the summer time, and is stunning with fall colors as well. The event staff at the venue were awesome to work with, and helped make the day go smoothly for the couple, as well as for me as the photographer. I highly recommend Memorial House!
